Abundance

“Both abundance and lack [of abundance] exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend." - Sarah Ban Breathnach

Shelli- Do you tweet? There is a lady on Twitter (she posts as CFS_MEfighter) and has mentioned that she recently tried some homeopathic stuff. You could check that out....

Hi Shelli,

I haven't had any luck with homeopathic medicines but it's possible I just haven't found the right practitioner. Finding the right person is so important, whether it's traditional medicine or alternative medicine. I'd been to two acupuncturists/herbalists with no results, but am now going to another one because a friend was so enthusiastic about her. I feel as if, unlike the other two, she understands what's wrong with me and, after two months of treatments, I'm a bit more functional during the day. It's a baby step, but worth it. I just hope my money doesn't run out before that baby step turns into a big step.

I hope others can give you more specific feedback on homeopathic medicine.

I haven't tried the homepathic route, although I did try Echinacea for a while a few months back to boost my immune system. It made my thoat feel like it was on fire and I caught a cold soon after taking it for a week. I don't know if the cold was linked to the Echinacea, but it put me right off!

I'm interested in homeopathic remedies( it's natural, so should be good for you!), but I've just started CFS therapy at the hospital so don't want to try two things at once. Really intrested though.

I did go to a CFS support group who had a talk on homeopathic remedies, but he just talked a load of rubbish and basically blamed us all for getting ill because we eat meat, we have wireless internet and other crap like that. It seemed he was in it for the money and that he could 'cure' CFS.

If by homeopathic you mean herbal, I use nothing but herbal remedies to treat the FMS and the CFIDS. I am at the most stable I have been in a long while.

I am able to control my pain most days (80%). I completely control the IBS through herbal remedies and change of diet.

I treat the sleep problems by herbal remedy as well and that works well probably 90% of them time.

I've tried homeopathic with an M.D. who was well trained in the method. It never helped me at all and I wasted a lot of money in the process.

For the others, herbs aren't homeopathic. Google it to get a better ideal I have a cold or would type more. Head too fuzzy.

forgetful girl. I tried echinachea years ago and had a bad reaction. When i found the immunologist I worked with for 10 years (and who helped me tremendously before his unexpected death a year ago) he told me that that herb was an immune stimulant. He tested my immune system and it was already in overdrive. He likened those herbs in that category to throwing gasoline onto a fire.

One thing I find helpful is NAC. It stimulate the production of glutathianone in the immune system, healing it, not revving it up. Taking it directly is a waste of time, according to him. The body doesn't use it. You have to nudge your body to create it.
