Abundance

“Both abundance and lack [of abundance] exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend." - Sarah Ban Breathnach

Adjustments

How am I doing with my Daunting Things?  Hm, let's take a look...

1. Super-Walmart:  Sent my son.
2. School registration:  Sent my son.
3. Back to school shopping:  Ordered online for my younger boys; let my son take my girls shopping.
4. Visit from my sister:  Suck it up.  It was only three hours (ha!  only!), and I rested up tons the next day.
5. Carpooling: Still have three weeks before school starts.
6. Sleep over:  They ended up at their friend's house instead.
7. Tidying up:  Had my kids do it.
8. Taco salad:  Had my kids do it, with managing instructions from me.

Have I mentioned how much I love and appreciate my kids?  My son has been such a sweetheart, running all over for me now that he can drive.  And they loved learning how to make taco salad.  It helped that I called it "Chef School."  I love that my kids "get it" and do what they can to help our family adjust to my disease.

Aren't our kids wonderful? :-)

I'm so glad that your son is being so helpful and that your kids are so understanding. My daughter (22 and going back to school - currently unemployed) is doing ALL of the housework currently. My husband grocery shops and she goes back for anything we may need during the week as well. I honestly do not even want to think about what my house would look like right now if she wasn't still living at home.

I'm so happy that you have the help and understanding.

It's great your son is pitching in so much and the other kids. I like the "chef school" idea! Makes is seem like an adventure~ Sorry your CFS is keeping you low key, but you handle it well...
Our daughter was a huge help when we had all the kids home and I was sick... Time for me to emal and thank her once again for all she did for me...

Awww - it's cute how much your son helps! I love the "chef school" idea; when Adam gets a little older I'll have to try that :)

Hurray for you!! What a wonderful attitude and what a wonderfully helpful family. You are blessed. Way to go for adapting, Shelli!

We could all learn a lesson from you (I still tend to overdo when I know I shouldn't - I've never been very good at delegating!)

One of the things that I noticed in your post was your ability to delegate. That is an great ability! It is even more wonderful that you have a family that is willing to take over the reigns when need be. Love that!

I hope you are feeling better soon!
